May 26, 2008 - Classic Legends will be hosting their 18th annual Memorial Day Charity Car show -The Annual event will be held at Brighton High school ,7878 Brighton Rd , in Brighton Michigan rain or shine. The Car show is open to all makes and models of classic or newer cars and trucks. The show opens at 7:00 am and ends around 4:00pm on memorial day. Over 26 trophy classes with multiple awards will be given out to the attendees. There will be live entertainment, door prizes and a silent auction. The funds from this car show will benefit local charities in southeastern Michigan. Rockin Ronnie will be turning the tunes. 50/50 raffles will be going on all days at different times. The local boy scouts will be offering breakfast and lunch at a nominal charge. The show averages over 500 cars and attracts over 1500 spectators each year. August 16-17, 2008 - 29th annual Moparfest 2008 -Each year over 1400 Show vehicles and more than 20,000 people attend the event. The event offers the show Vehicle participants a chance to win a restored 1970 Plymouth Road Runner 440 vehicle. A second vehicle is also awarded to someone who has the lucky draw ticket. This vehicle is 1971 Super Bee. Engine Blow contests, a huge swap meet field of 200 vendor spaces, an indoor vehicle display and live full band & main stage entertainment, are just a few of the weekend activities.
