May 31, 2008 - 4th Annual Custom Rides for Saving Lives Car and Truck Show - Lake Orion H.S., Started in 2005 as a way to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, the show was so well received that it has now become an annual event, getting bigger and better every year. As the name of the show implies, custom vehicles converge on the town of Lake Orion, Michigan to show their stuff and compete for some unique custom trophies. May 26, 2008 - Classic Legends will be hosting their 18th annual Memorial Day Charity Car show -The Annual event will be held at Brighton High school ,7878 Brighton Rd , in Brighton Michigan rain or shine. The Car show is open to all makes and models of classic or newer cars and trucks.   The show opens at 7:00 am  and ends around 4:00pm on memorial day. Over 26 trophy classes with multiple awards will be given out to the attendees. There will be live entertainment, door prizes and a silent auction.  The funds from this car show will benefit local charities in southeastern Michigan. Rockin Ronnie will be turning the tunes. 50/50 raffles will be going on all days at different times.  The local boy scouts will be offering breakfast and lunch at a nominal charge. The show averages over 500 cars and attracts over 1500 spectators each year. There are all kinds of local vendors offering their products. Over the last 18 years this car show has donated over $140,000 dollars to charities. This year's Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise will once again be a great event for the whole family. Planned for Sunday, August 3, the cruise will begin at noon and run until 6 p.m. The route is a five-mile loop from 14 Mile and Gratiot to Wellington Crescent and Gratiot, just north of Metroparkway. August 9, 2008 - 5th Annual Sister Lakes Lions Club Rod and Classic Car Show, 10 am to 4 pm, 66991 95th Ave, Dowagiac, MI 49047 The 5th Annual Rod and Classic Car Show to benefit Campaign Sight- First II will happen again at Lions Club Park. The event is open to all cars and trucks. Entry fee is $10 with all proceeds going to benefit this worthy cause.
